Breaking the Barriers of Shame
The definition of shame is a painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behavior. In August 2022, the Lord gave me a specific vision about hosting a Faith and Mental Wellness Summit. We are so excited about this event and we hope that you can make it.
The theme that the Holy Spirit gave for the 2023 Summit is “Unashamed.” Mental Health Awareness in the Church is continuing to change but there is still work to be done. Many people are still among us who are ashamed daily of the condition of their Mental Health. Christ loves us unconditionally and He cares about every area of our lives including the condition of our Mental Health. He wants his people to become "Unashamed" of their struggles so that they can heal and break free from condemnation.
This event will help Christians, Christian Leaders, Mental Health Providers, and Life Coaches have strategies, tools, and resources that will impact their families, work, communities, and individual lives.
As an attendee of this event, expect to hear from powerful speakers and participate in giveaways, handouts, relevant training sessions, networking opportunities, community and so much more. These are the scriptures that we stand on:
1 Thessalonians 5:23
Just as God is three in one Creator, Christ, Holy Spirit-humans were created as three parts: body, mind, and spirit.
In the Word of God, it says that Jesus Wept three different times. That’s in John 11:35, Luke 19:41, and Hebrews 5:7-9. Specifically, in John 11:35 Jesus weeps for several reasons. He wept at the death of Lazarus and He wept because the people were heartbroken. This scripture is only one example of how compassionate Jesus is towards us and He cares about your Mental Health as well.
Ecclesiastes 3 explains to us how there is a Season for Everything. Specifically, Ecclesiastes 3:4 says…a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. This chapter shows us how we go through different seasons in life and the Word of God encourages us to seek wise counsel in reference to life matters.
