Christian Leader, Your Words Carry Weight so SPEAK LIFE!
One of my favorite scriptures is Proverbs 18:21. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. This is one of the many scriptures that I declare to myself and stand on when I am "SPEAKING LIFE" into my clients, my family, and friends. It is not my job to tear down but build up and my words have power. Words have the power to bring life or death physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Your words have power and what you say has a profound impact on other people’s lives and their hearts. A soothing tongue [speaking words that build up and encourage] is a tree of life, but a perversive tongue [speaking words that overwhelm and depress] crushes the spirit (Proverbs 15:4, AMP). Some wound others, as they speak, their words are like swords; but the tongues of the wise HEAL (Proverbs 12:18).
With that being the same, one of the things that I do and pray over my children is to come out of agreement with evil words spoken to them by people and voices in our heads that is the enemy or our own subconscious. I feel an immediate release when I renounce negative words. Words are so powerful that God himself established the earth to be liveable in Genesis Chapter 1. If we are made in God's Image then that means that we have authority as well. Whether you are a Believer of Christ Jesus or not, your Words and others' Words can affect your mental heath and destiny.
My question to you is, are your words Life-Giving or Cursing yourself and others?
